Java and PHP Developers

Ecommerce technology platform company looking for passionate, smart, and articulate developers to help grow out and support our core software products and services.

You will have the ability to work on very high profile clients.

We are a growing group of young, talented hard-working individuals with a highly-configurable, flexible e-ecommerce platform built on open-source technology that is being continuously expanded to remain competitive.

Responsibilities include:

• • Participating in requirements gathering discussions
• • Designing database schema changes and software upgrades to support new features
• • Assessing the impact of new features on existing infrastructure
• • Providing long term solutions and short term options for common maintanence requests
• • Improving and monitoring application availability (apache, tomcat, postgres, mysql, Oracle)
• • Setting technical policies for coding best practices
• • Documenting technical procedures and best practice on intranet wiki
• • Implementing and improving deployment procedures for new and existing applications
• • Implementing more formal testing for applications
• • Occasional support on sales calls/meetings where technical input necessary

Ecommerce, content management and/or social network software experience and familiarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) concepts are real pluses.

Experience with or desire to work in a small entrepreneurial environment is a must -- you will be exposed to every aspect of our business from marketing to design to project management. We are very much of a service's company. Verbal communication skills are as important as your coding prowess.

On a technical level, looking for someone with approximately 3-6+ years of:

• * Java and J2EE (tomcat application server experience a plus)
• * HTML/CSS
• * SQL/stored procedures (postgres and oracle experience a plus)
• * Linux networking and administration
• * Apache experience (configuration, vhosts, dns)
