Content Publishing and Micro Sites
The backbone of Acadaca’s e-commerce platform is a full featured, database driven dynamic site called our Preview Mode, which requires a password to access. The entire site can be viewed in this mode displaying the full site and all changes that are set to be taken “live”. Upon demand or at pre-determined intervals (typically twice a day), a publishing agent parses thru this Preview Mode site and rebuilds the individual product and category pages as static, search friendly documents. AJAX is used to display real time data that is dynamically displayed within these pages for an enhanced user experience (e.g. pricing, inventory, an in-page shopping cart, etc). As a result, the product catalog that customers browse is extraordinarily fast, stable, and requires minimal technology to be rendered via the web server.
Also included in the process is redundant quality assurance built into the workflow with the ability for content changes to be viewed real-time and static pages viewed prior to going live.
Micro Sites can feature localized sites, theme-specific, and/or brand specific, all with centralized eCommerce Capabilities.
Alternative Micro Sites can be managed within the platform and managed via its centralized interface. Capabilities include alternative web site designs and user-based features/functionality, alternative product selection and descriptions, alternative category structures, and centralized or different order (same or different shopping cart/checkout) and fulfillment processes. Multiple domains can be managed via one centralized web base interface, with different access controls. The platform can also deploy pages to multiple third-party web servers even in alternative remote locations.
